RECYCLED GARDEN ART

During the 2012 Alaska State Fair, VCRS partnered with Valley Arts Alliance for our 2nd Annual Recycled Garden Art Contest. See this year's winners!  More Info
 
 

WHAT & HOW TO RECYCLE

Your sorting makes recycling possible in the  Mat-Su Valley. A Helpful list of the items VCRS will or will not recycle or re-use, and how they can be prepared. More Info
 
 

For Educators

Curriculum Kit: five - 90 minute lesson plans with supplemental activities, designed to meet Alaska State Standards for grades 4-8 in science, math, social studies, and art.

HELP WITH THE NEW
 MIXED PLASTICS CATEGORY!

Put all plastics that have recycling symbols #3 - #7 together into one bin. (NO rigid Styrofoam even if it has a recycling symbol!) Put the NON-jug and NON-bottle #1 and #2 plastics in the same bin with the #3 - #7. 

Please keep PETE #1 bottles and

HDPE #2 jugs with their separate containers as always.

We know it can get confusing, so go to our household recycling list or call us if you have any questions.
